Accessibility

Center for Access Success

All of Bucknell, open to every student.

Every Bucknell student should be able to take part fully in campus life and build the confidence and independence to shape their own future. By expanding accessibility services, personalized academic coaching and campus mobility, we clear the path so every student has what they need to thrive.”

— Moe McGuinness, Vice President for Student Affairs & Fritz Family Dean of Students

One in four Bucknell students works with the Office of Accessibility Resources. For them, a great Bucknell experience depends on more than what happens in class. It depends on the skills to manage demanding coursework, and on reaching the classrooms, dining halls and campus moments that make Bucknell home.

Bucknell has an opportunity to make accessibility a cornerstone of student success, not an accommodation students request only when a challenge arises. Expanded executive functioning coaching, a dedicated facilitated study space and campus mobility support will remove practical and financial barriers and help students build the independence, confidence and skills they carry well beyond graduation.

Impact & Giving Opportunities

For students: Expanded coaching, structured study support and accessible campus transportation help students navigate academic and daily life with confidence. Learning Specialists offer tailored guidance on organization, focus and getting started on tasks. A dedicated study space builds routines, accountability and friendships. Mobility services help students with short- or long-term mobility needs get to class, dining and everywhere campus life happens.

For Bucknell: Accessibility done well is student success done well. A coordinated, sustainable approach meets students when they need support, keeps pace with growing interest in these services and builds a campus where every student can develop the skills and independence to reach their goals.

Ready to expand

The groundwork is already in place. What turns today’s services into a comprehensive model is investment in the specialists, dedicated spaces and mobility resources that make accessibility consistent, responsive and available to every student, every day.
