Integrated Academic Resource Center
At Bucknell, learning is a team sport, where students build confidence, strengthen skills, connect with mentors and peers and develop the independence to thrive.
Real academic success is built on the strength of our community. The Integrated Academic Resource Center meets students exactly where they are, bringing academic support directly into the spaces where learning happens.”
— Wendy Sternberg, Provost
The strongest students don’t go it alone. They study with friends, ask questions early and lean on people who know them by name. The Integrated Academic Resource Center makes that the norm for every Bucknellian.
The center brings quantitative reasoning, writing, critical reading and peer navigation into students’ daily academic lives, connecting them with faculty, advisers, professional staff and trained peers. Every student, whatever their background or high school preparation, gets the tools to persist, achieve and thrive. And because the center sees so many students across so many disciplines, it gives Bucknell an early read on the skills students will need next, today and throughout their lives.
Confidence in every subject, for every student.
For students: Help is never far away. Peer navigators meet classmates in the spaces where they already study, while specialists build skills in quantitative reasoning, data analysis, writing, critical thinking and the ethical use of AI. Students gain more than better grades. They gain confidence and academic independence.
For Bucknell: The center brings advising and academic support together in one integrated hub, so every student knows where to turn. More than 30 peer navigators each year gain leadership experience of their own, and the University gains a forum to spot emerging needs and prepare students for what comes next.
